The Venture

The Emirates Kayak Expedition is the next sporting venture Francesco Gambella will attempt. The celebrated extreme canoeists will in fact paddle his way across between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, ranging some 160 Km in two or three days so to link in thought some of the Emirates.
He will reach the Capital on the second or third day of December 2017 on the National Day of the United Arab Emirates.

L'Impresa

Emirates Kayak Expedition è l'impresa sportiva che verrà compiuta dal famoso canoista estremo Francesco Gambella. 
Francesco "pagaierà" da Dubai ad Abu Dhabi, percorrendo 160 km in 2 o 3 giorni; unendo così, simbolicamente, alcuni degli Emirati. 
Giungerà alla capitale il 2 o 3 dicembre 2017 in occasione della festa nazionale degli Emirati Arabi Uniti.

Francesco's sports achievements are celebrated in many countries around the world and his success is carefully monitored by the most relevant national and international media.
As for previous endeavors he will be followed by a crew of 11 media professional photographers, camera operators and journalists of mainstream Italian television and newspapers, all well known professionals that have been following Francesco for many years now.

Who is Francesco

Born in Rome on the 27th of December 1973, Francesco's tale is an amazing one.
When just three months old he suffered two heart failures due to a serious bowel malformation. This legacy strongly affected his very attitude towards life.
He started canoeing when just 12 years old, very soon his passion granted him remarkable achievements. Today he is the Italian canoeing world ambassador for the "Federazione Italiana Canoa Kayak", the Italian Canoeing Association. He mastered the Third Level in such Association and is Ambassador for the African NGO Amref Italia Onlus.
All of Francesco's endeavors have been given exposure by international and national media.
He helped to start up the Kenian Kayak Association with the Lake Victoria Kayak Expedition, which has seen
a remarkable media coverage.
He is also honorary member of the world renown Porto Rotondo Yachting Club for his sporting achievements.

Chi è Francesco

Francesco Gambella nasce a Roma il 27 dicembre 1973 ed ha una storia di vita tutta da raccontare.
I due arresti cardiaci avuti all'età di tre mesi, in seguito ad un blocco intestinale, causato da una seria malformazione all'intestino, lo hanno spinto ad affrontare la vita con uno spirito particolare. 
Ha iniziato l'attività di canoista all'età di 12 anni e la passione che ha per questa disciplina sportiva lo ha portato a raggiungere importanti risultati sin da piccolo.
Oggi è ambasciatore della canoa italiana nel mondo, per conto della Federazione Italiana Canoa Kayak, maestro di terzo livello della federcanoa, ed ambasciatore della ONG Amref Italia Onlus. Tutte le imprese di Francesco hanno sempre attirato l'attenzione dei media italiani ed internazionali. 
Si è inoltre occupato dello Start-Up della federazione keniota di kayak che grazie all'impresa Lake Vittoria Kayak Expedition ha ottenuto una significativa visibilità mediatica.
È socio onorario, per meriti sportivi, dello Yahct Club Porto Rotondo, tra i più prestigiosi e rinomati al mondo.
